The Tidy Tips flower is a Native to the western United State. Actually this plant is a fast growing and undemanding California wildflower. These flowers are great for naturalizing banks and roadways. The Tidy Tips flower will look great in your flower bed.

These plants are spring blooming, daisy-like flowers. Tidy Tips flower are bright yellow, with white tips, and they can grow to about 1 to 1 ½ inches in diameter. The flower stems are sturdy. These small plants can grow to about nine to twelve high.  The Tidy Tips flowers are drought resistant, and they need little attention. Tidy Tips flowers can be grown in rock gardens, flower beds, as a true wildflower, and they can be grown in containers on your balcony or deck.

Tidy Tips Propagation: These plants are grown from seed. The Tidy Tips plant seeds will germinate in about ten to twenty-eight days, although depending on the weather conditions. You can sow the seeds directly outdoors, early in the season, just before the last frost date in your area. Make sure you plant the seeds just 1/8" deep, or you can broadcast them in the area you want them. With just a little water, the plant seeds will wash into the soil.

Growing Tidy Tips Plants: Growing Tidy Tips plants are actually very easy. Tidy Tips plants like full sun, and they grow well in cool areas. Tidy Tips plants tolerate almost any soils, but the soil must be well drained. Tidy Tips plants are drought resistant. Once the Tidy Tips plants have sprouted, the Tidy Tips plants will do well with little or no attention. Once the plants are established, the plants will grow well with few problems. The Tidy Tips plants do not like wet soils. And, the plants can suffer in high, mid-summer heat. Make sure you control grassy weeds in other to ensure best growth.

Pest and disease control:  Like I said earlier, the Tidy Tip plants have few insect or disease problems. The plants do not like hot or rainy weather.
